World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The 27-year-old captured four titles – the most on tour – including successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth Grand Slam singles title.

A Year of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a tour-best nine finals, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the whole season as the world number one, finishing 2025 on top of the rankings for a second successive year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and collected a historic eleven million pounds in earnings.

She received nearly eighty percent of the votes submitted by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a new level".

• Comeback Player of the Year: Switzerland's Belinda Bencic, 28, was voted after taking extended hiatus after the birth of her daughter and returning to the sport at the start of this year.
• Newcomer of the Year: Canadian 19-year-old Victoria Mboko was honored with the award after starting the season positioned outside the world's top 300 and soaring to the eighteenth spot.
• Partnership of the Year: Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend were selected after capturing their second career Grand Slam title together.
• Most Improved Player of the Year: Amanda Anisimova received the accolade after advancing to five finals.

Recently, Carlos Alcaraz won three awards in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Awards, including the season-ending top rank award, while Jannik Sinner was chosen as the fan favorite for a third time.
