'Living a Nightmare': Families of Missing Teens Await Information After Ski Resort Blaze
The families of young people missing after a devastating inferno at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and pleading for clues about their family members via social media.
The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Verified images depict the roof structure catching alight as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another scores more. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with work continuing to name the final individuals.
