American-Palestinian Teenager Liberated Following 270 Days in Israel's Imprisonment

A Palestinian-American teenager who spent a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges was released.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested last February within the occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing against settlement residents, allegations he repeatedly contested.
American diplomatic officials said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.
Now sixteen years old, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, according to close relatives.
Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.
Via family representatives, family spokesperson expressed the family's "tremendous relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"Currently, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he needs after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment for months."
American authorities announced ongoing to extend consular services to Mohammed's family.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.
The father, parent of four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, previously said his son only confessed about rock throwing due to physical abuse.
He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him via legal paperwork.
Mohammed was held lacking indictment in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.
It is also home to grown detainees, including individuals found guilty for major terrorist activities and murder.
Approximately 350 Palestinian minors in security custody currently imprisoned in Israel, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
Numerous remain uncharged and human rights groups, including UN bodies, document cases involving abuse and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative their cousin Sayfollah.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen according to health authorities was beaten to death by radical settlers following tensions during summer.
During that period, defense forces stated they were examining information regarding a civilian was deceased.
The two cousins were employed together in the family ice cream shop from Tampa.
No one has been charged with Sayfollah's killing.
"We expect US authorities to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
