Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed based on established safety measures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
